Jehovah led him around, He instructed him, He guarded him as the pupil of His eye. As an eagle stirs up his nest, flutters over his young, spreads abroad his wings, takes him, bears him upon his wings, so Jehovah alone led him.

Instructing them in truths, guarding them from falsities, and opening the interiors of their minds so that they may come into the light of heaven... is described by “the eagle,” his “nest on high,” “he flutters over his young, and bears them on his wings.” Comparison is made with the eagle, because “eagle” signifies intelligence.
